Safe & Sound Health Styptic Pencil is a compact first-aid and shaving accessory designed to help stop bleeding from small cuts and nicks, particularly those caused by wet shaving.

The pencil contains aluminium sulphate, which has an astringent action that causes tissue around a small cut to contract, helping to seal minor blood vessels and control bleeding. It can also be applied to insect bites and stings to help reduce local irritation.

Directions

Before use, wash and dry your hands thoroughly.

1. Wet the tip of the styptic pencil with clean water.

2. Press the moistened tip directly onto the small cut, shaving nick or affected insect bite.

3. Hold in place for approximately 5 seconds, or until the bleeding stops.

4. Repeat if necessary.

5. Rinse the tip after use and allow it to dry before replacing the cap.

• Do not use on deep, large or heavily bleeding wounds

• Do not use if you are allergic or sensitive to aluminium sulphate or any of the ingredients

• A brief stinging sensation may occur when applied to broken skin

• Avoid contact with the eyes

• For hygiene reasons, the pencil should ideally be used by one person only

• If bleeding does not stop or the wound requires medical attention, seek appropriate medical advice

• Keep out of reach of children

• Replace the protective cap after use
