Teleflex Rüsch PTFE AquaFlate is a PTFE-coated latex 2-way Foley catheter designed for short- to medium-term indwelling bladder drainage.

The PTFE coating provides a smooth outer surface to help reduce friction and irritation. The standard/male-length catheter features a cylindrical tip, two opposing drainage eyes and a 10ml retention balloon.

The catheter is supplied with a pre-filled syringe containing sterile water for balloon inflation and an empty syringe for balloon deflation.

Directions

This catheter should be selected, inserted and changed by an appropriately trained healthcare professional, or used according to an established individual catheter-care plan.

Use appropriate aseptic catheterisation technique during insertion.

The retention balloon should only be inflated after correct catheter placement has been confirmed.

Use the supplied sterile water to inflate the balloon to the specified 10ml volume.
