Coloplast Assura® 2-Piece Minicap is a small, discreet closed stoma cap designed for use with compatible 50mm Assura® 2-piece or SenSura® Click baseplates.

Its compact design provides an alternative to a conventional ostomy pouch for people with a colostomy who have little or predictable output, particularly following successful colostomy irrigation or during short periods when maximum discretion is preferred.

The Minicap contains ultra-absorbent material to manage small amounts of output, an integrated filter to help neutralise odour and a soft fabric front for additional comfort.

The Minicap is not intended to replace a standard-capacity pouch where regular or significant stoma output is expected.

Directions:

Ensure that an appropriate 50mm Assura® or SenSura® Click baseplate is securely fitted around the stoma.

Ensure the coupling area is clean and ready for attachment.

Align the Assura Minicap with the 50mm coupling ring on the baseplate.

Attach the Minicap securely according to the Coloplast two-piece coupling instructions and check that it is completely connected around the entire circumference.

Check the fit before normal activity.

Replace the Minicap whenever output has been absorbed, the appliance becomes soiled or according to your individual stoma-care routine.

Dispose of the used Minicap appropriately.

Important information:

• This product is the Minicap only – the baseplate is supplied separately

• The 50mm measurement is the coupling size, not the stoma diameter

• Only use with a compatible 50mm coupling

• Intended primarily for situations where minimal output is expected

• The Minicap has much less capacity than a conventional closed or drainable ostomy pouch

• Do not use as a substitute for a standard pouch if significant or unpredictable output is expected

• Colostomy irrigation should only be undertaken after appropriate instruction and assessment by a Stoma Care Nurse or other qualified healthcare professional

• Check that the Minicap is securely attached before use

• Replace immediately if leakage or loss of secure attachment occurs

• Monitor the stoma and surrounding skin regularly

• Persistent leakage, skin irritation or unexpected changes in stoma output should be discussed with a Stoma Care Nurse
